Garmin 60cs: Innovation in a hand-held GPS

The Garmin 60cs, also known as the GPSMAP 60CS is an all-purpose unit
that is feature-rich and highly functional. With a full-color display,
this unit is lightweight, rugged and waterproof. Features of the Garmin
60cs include automatic route calculation and recalculation, calendar,
electronic compass and barometric altimeter. A true multi-functional
instrument, the Garmin 60cs will provide bearings and elevation
readings. The display is readable in direct sunlight, with 256-color
system. When using the optional software, turn-by-turn directions are
available.
With 56MB of internal memory, the instrument can store the largest, most
detailed map. The integrated outdoor calendar shows sunrise and sunset
times. If you want to connect the Garmin 60cs to your computer, you may
do so via USB or serial port. The GPS receiver is accurate to within 10
feet in North America and has a built-in antenna and is usable from a
car, boat or on foot. The unit is waterproof and can store up to 50
routes and 1000 waypoints.
The Garmin 60cs has a built-in alarm clock and is highly
user-configurable. The instrument can also provide elevation information
and ascent/descent rate. There is also a trip computer that tracks
speed, total time and more. Built-in celestial tables give optimal times
for fishing and hunting. The tables also tell sunrise and sunset,
moonrise and moonset. The base map contains cities, highways,
interstates, exits, rivers and lakes. All in all, this device is
feature-rich and highly functional.
