The Garmin c330 StreetPilot is a mid-priced GPS
receiver with high-end features. With its sleek 3.5” diagonal color
screen and customizable faceplate, the Garmin c330 has a sleek upscale
look. The sharp and clear 16-bit color graphics display shows your route
in either 3D or bird’s-eye formats. The unit boasts an easy to use touch
screen for user input. Selecting a route is simple, straight forward and
calculated automatically. Once the route is programmed, you’ll hear
turn-by-turn prompts in a friendly automated voice. Installation is a
snap with a secure suction mount that makes the unit easily
transportable from one car to another. A built-in lithium-ion battery
means you can use it outside of your vehicle without the 12-volt car
adapter, a very handy feature.
The Garmin c330 comes preprogrammed full-featured MapSouce City Select
software, so you’ll be able to plan a route anywhere in North America
(United States, Canada, Puerto Rico) including both city and rural
roads. The software also contains nearly 6 million points of interest
(POI) like hotels, gas stations, restaurants, ATMs, shopping, movie
theaters and much more. A USB cable is also included so you can download
additional maps and/or points of interest data from your PC. There’s
even an optional alert that warns you when you’re approaching a POI.
Besides a built-in patch antenna, MCX-type connector and preprogrammed
memory, the Garmin c330 boasts a 320 x 240 pixel display screen, 64K
colors and an super-bright LED backlight in a compact case measuring
4.4” W x 3.2” H x 2.8” D. The unit is also WAAS-enabled.
