Streetpilot 2620
The Streetpilot 2620 is feature packed
Situated in the middle bracket of Garmins range of excellent GPS
navigation units, the Streetpilot 2620 offers many functions which put
it in a very competitive position with respect to both units in the same
range, and the competition. For example, the Streetpilot 2620 comes
loaded with Garmins own MapSource City Navigator software and maps
pre-loaded, which means that the system is ready to use right out of the
box, and there is no need to license, unlock or upload a map before it
can be used.
Like many navigation units on the market, the Streetpilot 2620 has a
color screen ,which is slightly bigger than the competitions offerings.
This makes the unit easy to read and use, with bright LCD colors which
are visible even in direct sunlight. The screen is also touch sensitive,
which makes navigation through the menus a snap – other units require a
separate control, or interface via the car radio.
Naturally, like all good in-vehicle units, the Streetpilot 2620 offers
voice prompting so that the driver can keep their eyes on the road while
they are being directed. With a database of over five million different
points of interest, there will be no shortage of visual and aural clues
as the unit guides the driver through the busy city streets, ordering
them to take turns just like a human navigator.
On top of which, the Streetpilot 2620 also offers great features such as
calculation of the best route to take when visiting multiple locations.
This feature is especially useful for people who need to efficiently
plan a delivery or visiting route for the day.
