The Pharos company is a pioneer in the area of GPS goods and services. Not only do they do a great line of units and software to help you locate yourself accurately and efficiently, but Pharos also offer some unique services such as the Smart Traffic, available for smart phones, PDAs and GPS systems coupled with PDAs.

Pharos software will run on most PDAs and smart phones in existence, as well as Get it Now phones, offering a multitude of different service options and uses. Pharos also pioneer in the in-car navigation system market too. Again, in conjunction with a PDA, the receiver is powered from the cigarette lighter, and transmits information via Bluetooth which enables it to be placed in the best possible position for receiving the satellite signal, and not always be attached to the PDA.

For the recreational user, Pharos has also begun to create smaller, more specialist items which plug directly into a PDA or pocket PC and, using special bundled software such as StarCaddy, which provides the user with accurate golfing information based on the GPS readings.
